Rishikesh in Uttrakhand, is a renowed pilgrimage destination in India. Several believe it as the land of gods. The most respectful river Ganga, majestic Himalayas, legends, myths, monks and temple make Rishikesh a soothing destination where the believer find peace of soul and mind. The fabulous nature is a major draw for the non- believer. Addition to that, there is plenty of scope for adventure sports.
Lakshman Jhula This bridge running from one bank of Ganga to other is the landmark of the city. It was built in 1939. It is said that Lakshman crossed this bridge when it was of only jute ropes. You can also feed the fish in the river below from the bridge. Lakshman Jhula with the green mountains in the background make a perfect view. |
